As neuroscience heads towards big data, distributed computing, free exchange, and the cloud, come learn about some technologies paving the way. Held with BrainHack2019, BHB2019 event offers hands-on tutorials for attendees to convert their own neuroimaging solutions to the cloud using the ChRIS platform and the Mass Open Cloud. Learn about docker!
Want to know how to distribute your work and take advantage of Cloud computing? You’ve heard of Containers, Docker, and ‘the Cloud’ and now you would like to know more? Attend our BrainHack event for introductory talks on these topics, learn how to translate these tools for neuroscience and convert your code for distribution to the wider research community with the ChRIS platform.
Building pipelines and coding to for neuroimaging analysis.
Aim: Parcel and distribute your codeFor the global community as open-source apps to be seamlessly executed on the Cloud.

Bring an example code that you wish to convert into a Docker-image, or ChRIS plugin. We suggest having several examples with a varying range of simplicity i.e. from few dependencies to as many as you require. Bring example data to test your code/plugin.
We recommend bringing a laptop with at least 8GB RAM which should be capable of running Docker and your image processing software.
Docker (Visit this tutorial on how to set it up). It could save you a lot of time!
